Eric Nordness
President

Mr. Nordness leads all development opportunities and financing strategies for the company. Prior to founding Salita, Mr. Nordness was an analyst with TechStar, a financial services organization identifying seed stage companies and developing them into venture back-able technology based businesses. Mr. Nordness started his career at Robertson, Stephens & Co, a San Francisco headquartered full-service investment banking firm. At Robertson he worked in the asset management division of the firm, which included both private equity and public investment vehicles. At the time Robertson Stephens Investment Management had over ten billion dollars under management. Mr. Nordness has experience in business development, institutional finance and project management. He received his B.B.A. in finance from the University of Iowa and a M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, with concentrations in both finance and economics.

Anne Nordness
Director of Operations

Anne Nordness joined her brother Eric, a year after he founded Salita, to manage product development and operations. In this role she oversees budget, architecture/interior design, and construction related areas. Previously, she worked for Congressional Quarterly Inc., headquartered in Washington D.C. With a team of more than 100 journalists, Congressional Quarterly has provided news coverage of Capitol Hill since 1945 and won the prestigious Dirksen Award for congressional reporting more than any other news source. Ms. Nordness spent two of her over three-years at CQ as the assistant editor for CQ.com, primarily covering appropriations and elections. Most recently she acted as assistant managing editor and project manager for the company's signature reference work, Politics in America 2004, published by CQ Press. Ms. Nordness attended the University of Colorado's honors program, graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in political science. She also received a masters of public administration from the University of Colorado.

Matthew Mering
Director of Development

Mr. Mering manages all development opportunities, oversees all property level operations and leads Salita's branding strategies for their upscale, independent properties. Prior to Salita, Matthew co-founded Tsunami Capital a hospitality/entertainment company responsible for opening reserve, an upscale nightclub in Chicago's West Loop neighborhood. While at reserve, he spent three years as the operating partner, overseeing all operations and managing all financial aspects of the business. Through a creative marketing strategy and superior service, reserve became a premier destination in a neglected area of town. He also consulted on a variety of restaurant and nightclub concepts during his time at Tsunami Capital. Prior to his experience at reserve, Matthew worked for Accenture in the management consulting industry. During his tenure there, Matthew spent two years in the Melbourne, Australia office. Prior to Accenture, Matthew worked as a food and beverage director with the Club Med Cancun, Mexico resort. Mr. Mering received his B.A. in international relations from the James Madison College at Michigan State University and he holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, with concentrations in finance and strategy.

Stacy Dreyfus
Director of Sales & Marketing

Stacy is focusing on creating The Fremont's sales, marketing and partnership strategies along with it's development team to launch a true Chicago boutique hotel. For over 9 years, Stacy Dreyfus has worked in the hotel and hospitality industry in New York City and moved to Chicago last summer. Her former companies include Le Parker Meridien, Ian Schrager Hotels and Hotel Gansevoort. While working for Ian Schrager, she was dedicated to the opening of the stylish Hudson Hotel, and subsequently launched the New York Global Sales Office for Ian Schrager Hotels. Stacy then held the position of Director of Sales & Marketing at Hotel Gansevoort in Manhattan. Currently, Stacy is in her second successful year of her own boutique sales & marketing agency, Orchid. Her company is currently marketing the luxury resort Winvian, an unconventional and extraordinary getaway in the Litchfield Hills of Connecticut, which is scheduled to open this year along with various other clients such as BlackBook Magazine, Boutique Hotels & Resorts International and most recently, The Fremont. Stacy holds a B.A. in travel and tourism with a minor in marketing from Clemson University.



Salita Development is led by a group of high energy individuals with vast experience ranging from: investment banking, project management, hospitality sales & marketing, and food and beverage operations. Team members are experienced at identifying unique opportunities, assembling the right mix of resources, implementing plans, and delivering results. The principals of Salita have the knowledge, expertise, and skills to develop best-in-class hotel properties.
