The Fremont

The Fremont, new from Salita Development, will be a stylish, independently flagged, luxury boutique hotel near the center of Chicago. Through innovative architecture and sophisticated yet comfortable design, the new 201 room Fremont will offer guests a true Chicago hotel experience. As the first design hotel in Chicago, The Fremont will be a unique brand within a cityscape of homogenized brands.

The Fremont will be a creative re-use of an existing raw industrial building, a former knitting mill, into a must-see hotel and entertainment destination. It will create a sense of mystery with its idiosyncratic design and will contrast the rough industrial building with a warm, intimate space. All of this will happen while telling the story of the neighborhood and of the mill in the architecture, interior design, product design and artwork. The Fremont will relate to the neighborhood specifically and pick up strains of local Chicago culture and flare.

The Fremont will be located near the center of Chicago, just 10 minutes from Michigan Avenue and within walking distance of a compelling mix of high-end lifestyle retailers, restaurants and nightclubs. The development will include restaurants, a lounge, and various retail elements to enhance the guest experience while providing a draw for the local community to enjoy alongside the hotel's guests.
